Dave Vincent is Chief Digital Officer for Tourism Northern Ireland. With over 20 years’ experience in the IT, telecommunications, utilities, financial services and public sectors, Dave’s combination of entrepreneurial drive and business-management skills empower him to translate complex business issues and requirements into commercially and technically compelling propositions.
He has an inherent love of all things technical and a passion for the role that technology can play in facilitating and delivering real business change.
In 2018 Tourism Northern Ireland launched a £200,000 fund to support initiatives in augmented reality projects in tourism and heritage.
Speaking on the immersive storytelling panel at ARVR INNOVATE, Dave will share the story of how Tourism NI is transforming itself and the wider industry to support the creation of a compelling international destination. 24 months after moving into a public service role Dave will reflect on some early successes as well as the challenges and frustrations of trying to “move fast and fix things” and exploiting new technologies including AR/VR, AI and Machine Learning.
