Pete Woodbridge

Pete Woodbridge has been a popular speaker at past ARVR  INNOVATE conferences. He is currently R&D Innovation Manager at MediaCity Immersive Technologies Innovation Hub  in Manchester.

Pete is experienced in developing with Unreal Engine, Unity, Disguise, Notch, Ventuz and more across projects covering Realtime Film, VFX & Animation (ICVFX, LED Studios, GenAI Workflow Integretions), Projection & LED Mapping, Interactive & Immersive Installations, Motion Capture (Optitrack, Rokoko), Sensor System Integrations, Mixed Reality (Hololens, Quest3). Plus integrations with Computer Vision, AI workflows & more.

Past projects and collaborations include working with Intel, Virgin, Google, Apple, ITV, Aardman, IBM, BBC, NBC, Monster, Costa, Kia, Entain and many more.

He is  passionate about the convergence of realtime technology, artificial intelligence and immersive experiences and set up the UKs first Immersive Arts Masters Degree. He has been recognized as one of the BIMA Top 100 UK Creatives for his work in immersive storytelling and for his work in Creative AI in the UKII Intelligence Report 2024. He is  also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and the Royal Society of the Arts (FRSA).

The Mediacity Innovation accelerator is investing in a number of R&D projects at the intersection of ai, virtual production, spatial computing and immersive technology. This presentation will talk about some of the R&D happening in the project that is fuelling the next generation of content workflows and experience creation.
